This is the premier Club event of the year, and is always held on the first Sunday of each month of June.
The event was the brainchild of a Thanet motoring enthusiast who felt that something more than the normal static car show was called for, and give the owners of Veteran, Vintage and Classic vehicles the opportunity to use them.
The event was first held in 1981. At that time, the vehicles gathered at Blackheath in South East London and motored down to Ramsgate to gather on Government Acre and provide a static display there.
The event was a huge success and remains so to this day, with over 400 vehicles in attendance in 2014. The starting point has changed over the years due to traffic conditions and the growing amount of cars wanting to enter etc. In more recent years we started from Brogdale Apple Farm, near Faversham, but this year the run will be starting from Beech Court Gardens, Challock, near Canterbury, Kent.
It will have been running for 36 years this year, so come along, have a look and maybe join our club too. The rally is open to all with a suitable vehicle.
